We know it can be difficult to keep track of changes to all the different COVID-19 travel guidelines between states. As Alaska continues to welcome travelers, and the guidance or requirement for travel continues to evolve, you can find our weekly updates here to help you plan your visit.
Alaska is currently leading the United States forper capita COVID-19 vaccinations, with all residents over 16 years old now eligible for vaccination. We see a fully vaccinated crew as a cornerstone of our business, and few obstacles to getting there by the time we’re open for our summer tour season. That said, the safety of our customers is paramount, and we’re not going to walk away from common sense guidelines like social distancing, masking, and higher-level cleaning. As long as these guidelines are essential for providing a safe operating environment, we’ll be on top of it. If you would like a copy of our company’s specific COVID-19 mitigation policies email us here.
While we expect some of the current guidance will loosen up (or even be eliminated) as we achieve vaccination goals here, nationally, and around the world, the requirements for visitors to Alaska as of now are as follows:
1. Complete the State of Alaska Travel Declaration Form and the Self Isolation Plan via theAlaska Travel Portal at www.alaska.covidsecureapp.com. 2. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test, either before travel or on arrival to Alaska. If you choose to test prior to travel, you should upload to the portal either your results or proof of a test taken within 72 hours of travel, or have that proof available to show airport screeners. If you choose to test on arrival, the guidelines indicate a period of strict social distancing until you receive your results, followed by a second test in 5-14 days, so our best suggestion is to test prior to arrival when possible.
