Pacific Cod might not get the spotlight like halibut or salmon, but they’re a favorite among those in the know. With flaky white meat and a clean, mild flavor, cod are a staple in kitchens and a satisfying catch for anglers of all experience levels. These bottom dwellers put up a solid fight and are often caught while targeting other species like halibut or rockfish. Also known as “gray cod,” these fish are typically found near the seafloor in deeper waters. They range from 5 to 15 pounds, with some reaching over 20. While not flashy, Pacific Cod are consistent, abundant, and an excellent bonus catch on many bottom fishing charters.

  • Depth and Drift: Cod often school on deep, rocky bottom structure. Our guides know where to find them.
