Cruise Passengers

PIER PICKUP & ESCORT
Your guide or crew member will meet you at the cruise ship pier holding a sign with your name. From there, enjoy a short walk to our downtown marina and outfitting room – just steps from the dock.

LICENSING & GEAR-UP
At the marina, your guide will help complete a quick fishing license form and collect the state fee. While we process that, you’ll gear up in waterproof boots, bib overalls, jackets, hats, and gloves – everything you need to stay warm and dry throughout the day.

SCENIC RIDE TO FISHING GROUNDS
Board your boat for a 20–30 minute cruise to the fishing grounds south of Ketchikan. Based on tides, weather, and recent reports, your guide will choose the best spots for both salmon and bottom fishing. Be on the lookout for bald eagles, seals, whales, and maybe even black bears.

COMBO FISHING EXPERIENCE
Spend the next few hours targeting multiple species – trolling for King, Coho, or Pink Salmon and bottom fishing for cod and rockfish. Your expert guide will walk you through the gear and techniques to help you reel in an exciting mix of fish, whether you’re a seasoned angler or trying it for the first time.

RETURN TO PORT
Cruise back to the marina, soaking in more beautiful views of Southeast Alaska. Once ashore, your guide will ensure you get back to your ship on time. If you'd like to ship your catch home or have it smoked or vacuum-packed, we’ll help arrange it before you leave.

    On our Authentic Alaska Fishing trip, you can expect to catch a combination of salmon, halibut, rockfish, and other bottom species. Your captain will tailor your trip based on the season, conditions, and your preferences.

    What do I need to bring on the trip?

    Bring comfortable clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and any personal items you may need for a day on the water. All fishing gear, tackle, and safety equipment are provided.

    Will there be lunch during the trip?

    Yes! We provide a box lunch with local salmon spread, crackers, fruit cup, cookie, and bottled water. You can also bring additional snacks if you prefer.

    How far will we travel during the trip?

    Your fishing excursion will take you to some of the best fishing spots around Ketchikan, depending on the day’s conditions. We’ll fish in waters that can reach depths of 300 feet, targeting the species that are currently biting.
