Cruise Passengers

PIER PICKUP & ESCORT
Your guide will meet you at the cruise pier holding a sign with your name. From there, enjoy a short stroll to our outfitting area at the downtown marina.

LICENSING & GEAR-UP
Your guide will help process your state fishing license and outfit you with full rain gear; boots, bibs, jackets, and gloves.

SCENIC RIDE TO THE FISHING GROUNDS
Travel 20–40 minutes to prime halibut territory. Enjoy spectacular views and wildlife sightings, including eagles, seals, whales, and more.

FISHING EXPERIENCE
Drop baited hooks into deep, sandy bottoms and wait for the thump of a halibut strike. You’ll learn to jig, set the hook, and wrestle your fish to the surface with the help of your guide.

RETURN TO PORT
Cruise back through scenic waters. Once ashore, we’ll help with fish processing and ensure you return to your ship on time.

    What should I bring on the Halibut Fishing excursion?

    Warm layers, sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen are ideal. We provide all rain gear, rods, reels, and tackle – plus lunch and drinks.

    How deep do we fish for halibut?

    Depths vary by location and tide, but we often fish between 150 and 300 feet.

    Can I keep what I catch?

    Yes! We offer shipping, freezing, or even in-town preparation of your halibut. Just ask your guide.

    Will I have to share a rod?

    Every guest has their own rod and tackle for a fully hands-on experience!

    Are there any additional fees?

    There’s a $15 fee for your fishing license, which may be purchased online in advance. Additional fees may apply for a halibut stamp, which will be assessed at checkout or with your guide prior to departure.

    Is halibut fishing hard for beginners?

    Not at all! Our guides walk you through each step and help out where needed. You just enjoy the thrill.
